SiClone® SR-5 is a non-silicone base Cyclomethicone replacement. It has good volatility, slip, cushion, and the same smooth, dry spreadabiltiy. It is a volatile silicone replacement comprised of a blend of hydrocarbons and is almost indistinguishable from Cyclomethicone in formulations.

SiClone® SR-5 provides several properties for both wash-out and leave-in hair conditioners, including detangling, manageability, anti-frizz and sheen. In hair sprays it allows for soft hold in a quick-drying, non-alcoholic system. Consumers look for oil-free and silicone-free formulas, and SiClone® SR-5 delivers in both cases, with richer, more luxurious body and a soft cushion during application. It’s ideal for lotions, creams, primers, serums and UV protection products.

In addition, to improving spreadability, brightness, glide and moisturizing properties, in color cosmetics, SiClone SR-5 helps set pigments for longer wear, contributes to binding and improves the application properties of loose powders.

• Use level > 1%
• Can be used as the sole oil phase of an emulsion, or together with other emollients
